Farewell Fun
Provided by Martha Pirkle, ISE Regional Manager
After a full school year, filled with experiences ranging from boring to exhilarating, it’s always difficult to say goodbye. Students and families have grown close and even though students are excited about going home, they don’t look forward to letting go of their U.S. adventure.
It helps to have a party! If there is one thing we all learn from our teenage visitors it’s that a party can make anything better! Exchange students from all across New Hampshire gathered to enjoy time playing together . . . and, of course, eating together. Students wandered the property, engaged in conversation, played some games and ate good ole’ hotdogs.
As host families said goodbye for this time, they may have already been making their plans for student activities and excursions next year . . . it just becomes a part of our lives.
A Disney Edventure
Provided by Brenda Randall, INTO Regional Manager
You are never too old, or too cool, to enjoy Disney World and all it has to offer! Our students in the South Region had an absolutely great time with Mickey Mouse and all his friends. We attended the Arabian Knights dinner show and (drum roll, please) a concert with Earth, Wind and Fire performing! We literally ate our way across the world . . . Disney style. The most impressive experience (believe it or not!) was eating in the BIGGEST McDonald’s in the world! A night back at the hotel for swimming and simply relaxing was the perfect end to a perfect edventure.
